Special Guests

Emily Baucum is an EMMY Award-winning journalist who joined News 4 San Antonio in March 2012. She was born and raised in San Antonio. You'll find her reporting on the biggest stories impacting our area, from the immigration crisis on the border to the Spurs championship run in Miami. In her latest role as a Trouble Shooter, she hits the streets every day to solve problems like crumbling sidewalks, water leaks, and high utility bills while holding city leaders accountable for any delays. She graduated high school from Keystone School in the historic Monte Vista neighborhood. Emily then attended Northwestern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, with a second major in political science.

Randy Beamer is an EMMY Award-winning anchor and photojournalist for News 4 San Antonio. Beamer has shot and reported for News 4 San Antonio from all over the country and even around the world, focusing on all kinds of stories involving - and important to - South Texans. In Iraq, he added a bulletproof vest to his gear for a series and documentary which he reported, shot and put together on San Antonians who run the biggest hospital in Iraq. He's reported on Texans guarding detainees at Guantanamo Bay and has gone deep into Mexico to look at exactly what drives so many people to cross illegally into the United States. Beamer's won nine Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award, top honors from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters and many other awards over the years for reporting, anchoring, photography and commentary. But he's most proud of his four wonderful children.
