Romare Bearden Park

There is an abundance of parking garages and surface parking lots located within easy walking distance of Romare Bearden Park. Preferred Parking has created an excellent interactive map that provides information including the address for parking garages/lots and availability. Click here for the map.
The LYNX Blue Line is a stress-free and convenient transportation alternative to/from the event site. The line is nearly 19 miles long and operates from I-485 at South Boulevard to UNC Charlotte's main campus in University City. The "Stonewall" and "3rd Street/Convention Center" stations are located in Uptown Charlotte just a couple of blocks from Romare Bearden Park. Uber and Lyft
Uber and Lyft are both great alternative options for transportation to/from the event site. Please be aware that street closures are necessary to accommodate our event route. Plan to arrive early, and give your driver the official address for Romare Bearden Park as your drop off/pickup location: 300 S. Church Street.
We love animals just as much as you do! However, due to safety and liability reasons, pets are unfortunately not allowed at Pancreatic Cancer Action Network events. Service animals are, of course, welcome.

Erin Willett is a Musician, Personality- but like us all, she is human. Born and raised in Gaithersburg, MD, Erin always embodied so much joy when she was in front of an audience. Following her graduation from Hofstra University, Erin was a semi-finalist on Season 2 of The Voice. During the show, Erin's father, Chuck, passed away from stage IV pancreatic cancer and she began her fight with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network as an Influencer of Hope. In a move to change her life, Erin was asked to be a contestant on Season 17 of The Biggest Loser where she lost 87 lbs. Since traveling the world inspiring other through musical performances and speaking engagements, Erin has learned to share every aspect of her world with her fans, and remind herself in the process that we are all human and we are learning as we go. In 2018, Erin dedicated her year to travel the world performing, "Hope's Alive" an anthem of Hope for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. All money raised from sales and streaming goes back to the organization in hopes to change the outcome of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Maureen O’Boyle is an anchor for the WBTV News team. A Charlotte native, she is heavily involved with many community events and particularly focused on the station’s growing partnership with Charlotte’s Pancreatic Cancer Action Network affiliate. “Pancreatic cancer is something that’s not talked about much,” she says. “It may touch a smaller percentage of the population, but the diagnosis can be devastating. I want to see a future where pancreatic cancer is obliterated.” Maureen sees education and fundraising as two areas that WBTV’s partnership can positively support PANCAN Charlotte, and she is committed to maximize those efforts.
