Every participant who raises $25 or more on their personal fundraising page will receive a PurpleStride T-shirt. Please check our event deadlines for more details as they are available regarding when you can pick up your T-shirt.
Volunteers in your local affiliate will determine a safe way to distribute T-shirts after the event to those who have raised $25 or more. Please check our event deadlines for more details as they are available.
All pancreatic cancer survivors who register for PurpleStride are eligible to receive a special survivor T-shirt and no fundraising minimum is required.
Emily LaSalle
Emily LaSalle is the PurpleStride Team and Individual Development Chair for the Orange County Affiliate and studies music at California State University Long Beach. She is a dedicated volunteer, advocate and an incredibly talented young woman. We are so excited to have her join us to sing our Nation's Anthem at PurpleStride Orange County 2020!
Lisa Niemi Swayze
American writer, director, actress and dancer. She is the widow of actor, singer and dancer Patrick Swayze who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009.
Thuy Phan
Thuy Phan is The host and producer of "Phantastic Feast" at the Saigon Broadcasting Television Network, the first and largest Vietnamese-American TV network in North America. Thuy graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications. She has previously worked with Nguoi Viet Daily News, Tanaka Video Productions (with such credits as "Cooleyville", "XBytes", and "Popcorn Zen"), WUFT TV, and Gainesville local radio station AM 850.
In the last 5 years, Thuy has maintained her admirable journalistic career at leading Vietnamese American TV station Saigon Broadcasting Television Network (SBTN), producing award winning program, "IN FOCUS". During her time there, she has received several awards for her contributions to the community, including the "OC Autism Community Awareness Award" (2012) and the "New America Media Award" (2009, 2nd place local and national) for her work with bone marrow donation. Thuy is also a USC Annenberg Health Reporting Fellow and Kauffman Foundation Grantee.
