Jan fought stage IV pancreatic cancer with the same joy, faith, and determination that defined her life. Her strength and resilience inspired so many, and she felt deeply supported by her loyal community of prayer warriors, friends, and family who rallied around her during her journey. While Jan may not have ultimately beaten cancer, she fought fiercely for five years, and her remarkable eight-month stretch without chemotherapy was a miracle in itself.
In 2022, Jan's family and friends participated in the PanCAN walk, an experience that brought them together in a meaningful way. As she walked, Jan made connections with fellow participants, sharing stories and learning about their journeys with pancreatic cancer. These encounters highlighted the profound impact the disease has on individuals and families, and reinforced the importance of community support in times of struggle.
