Elroy Friesenhahn was a devoted, loving son, bother and father to his three children. Elroy would say that his greatest accomplishment was being a father. Elroy was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Elroy had two goals in life, one was to become a father, and the other to play professional baseball. Elroy had grown up with a love for baseball and played with his father coaching him for many years. He later played baseball for Cole high school. He was recognized as a batter and for being a pitcher. Although his baseball future may have been cut short due to an injury, his love for the game never changed.
Elroy received his college degree from the University of Texas San Antonio. For 24 years, Elroy was a dedicated educator and coach committed to making the youth better versions of themselves. Elroy was a Texas Longhorns fan, and enjoyed watching his team play with his brother as often as he could. He enjoyed attending games with his best friend and had a love for traveling. Beyond anything else, Elroy loved being a father to his triplets. There was no greater joy in life for him.
Elroy has asked for his friends and family to continue the fight against this horrible disease. Please donate to his memorial fund and know by doing so that we are honoring his memory. Together we continue his fight against pancreatic cancer.
