By the time our mom received her cancer diagnosis, it was too late to do anything but slow the inevitable decline. She was told she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer after she noticed her skin beginning to turn yellow. By the time this symptom showed up, the cancer had progressed profoundly and far few treatments options were left. Through early detection, people can be given a fighting chance to combat this deadly disease. Our mom made it a full year after her diagnosis - much longer than we were told we could hope for.
