In honor of Pat, we're supporting PanCAN’s early detection initiative in the hopes that all those who may become diagnosed with pancreatic cancer can have significantly higher survival rates.
While it accounts for only 2% of cancers diagnosed in the United States each year, pancreatic cancer is the third most common cause of cancer-related deaths in the country. It often does not cause symptoms in the early stages, making it challenging to detect and diagnose.
Today, there is no screening test to detect pancreatic cancer early, when it’s more treatable. PanCAN is working to change that, thanks to donors like you. Earlier detection would mean that more patients could be eligible for surgery to remove their tumor, and it could lead to significantly higher survival rates.
Pat's family's mission going forward is to support research which will enable early detection and diagnosis. We are profoundly grateful for your generous donation.
