Did you know that life expectancy for stage 4 pancreatic cancer is "about" 1 year after diagnosis?
My family has been part of this statistic for the past 4 years.
On October 20, 2022, we lost my dad, Charles A Monpremier to stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Nine months later on July 29, 2023, his younger brother, Maxeme Monpremier also lost his battle to pancreatic cancer.
Still on May 1st, 2024 another branch has fallen from our family tree; We lost Jeanine Monpremier to this death sentence that is pancreatic cancer.
Circling back to May 1, 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, my dad's younger sister, Denise M Joseph lost her fight to colon cancer.
I could not save my dad, my uncle, nor aunts, but I'm determined to raise awareness to this deadly disease, I might juts be able to save others!
- In honor of my loved ones, I’m supporting PanCAN’s vision to create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
