On June 1, 2023 Mr. Yongguang Qin was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Mr. Yongguang Qin passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024 at the age of 46. Mr. Qin was born in China on April 22, 1977. He is survived by his loving wife; Jinglan Gao, and two Sons.
Jinglan is my friend and colleague and I am racing in this event and fundraising to both honor Mr. Qin's memory, and also bring more attention to this terrible disease, so that we can raise funds to make an impact on those affected by it.
On June 1, 2024, on the anniversary of the fateful day, I will be embarking on the IRONMAN 70.3 Hawai`I, swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles, and running 13.1 miles in his memory.
Those close to Yongguang speak of his intelligence, care, calm, strength, and humility. No family should endure this loss. In his honor we ask you to consider a donation to help create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
