In honor of my dad, I’m supporting PanCAN’s vision to create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive. In March 2025, I will be completing a Marathon. This will be my first 26.2-mile run, and if I learned anything from watching my dad battle pancreatic cancer it is that our bodies can do way more than we think they can.
My dad passed away three years ago, and I have been trying to figure out a way to best honor his memory. I believe, for me, this is the best way to do it. My dad was very active throughout his entire life, even during his cancer treatment. I definitely inherited my athleticism from him. I know if he was here, he would be cheering me on (the loudest!). I love my dad, and I miss him very much. He was the best father I could have asked for. I am very grateful to the Lord for him. I look forward to the day I get to see him again!
If you would be willing to support my efforts of running this marathon by donating funds to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, I would appreciate it very much. Every dollar you give funds life-changing programs and services for patients and their families. Because of you, patients and families will receive essential services, resources, information, and support when they are urgently seeking help and hope.
I am profoundly grateful for your generousity.
