In honor of Colleen M. Ryan, of Orland Park, Illinois
Colleen McAsey Ryan passed away peacefully on February 5th 2025 after a courageous battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.
Born on June 11, 1960, to Joseph and Joan (Whalen) McAsey, Colleen was a proud graduate of St. Raymond’s Grade School, St. Francis Academy, and the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. After a successful retail career at I. Magnin in Oak Brook, she became a flight attendant for ATA Airlines to see the world.
In 1994, Colleen married Raymond Ryan, becoming a devoted mother to his three young boys. Two years later, she welcomed baby Meaghan, officially embracing her role as a stay-at-home mom. Later, she re-entered the workforce as a pharmaceutical sales rep, charming clients with her intelligence and engaging personality. Colleen balanced family life and career with grace, always appearing beautiful inside and out.
Deeply traditional in her values and Catholic faith, Colleen loved her family in her own unique way. She was her children's biggest cheerleader, never missing a sporting event, and always encouraging them to do their best.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Raymond; children Matthew (Krista), John (Jackie), Michael (Hannah), and Meaghan; and grandchildren Mads and Kaia.
Cherished sister of Monica (Marc) Frost, Tim (Sheila) McAsey and Jennifer (Don Duszynski) Rommel.
