Tibor received a PhD in Physics from Michigan State University where he was an instructor in their Department of Physics for over 20 years. He was also a junior high and high school physics Camp Instructor during the summers.
Tibor was patient and kind. He supported his family and friends in so many big and small ways. He was always happy to help others. Tibor had a great love of animals. Our many pets’ lives were blessed by his care over the years; stray animals, wildlife and neighbors’ pets were blessed by his presence. He enjoyed math and physics puzzles, but most of all, he loved teaching physics. One of the most beautiful parts of his last month was meeting doctors and nurses on his care team that were former students who shared fond memories. It was amazing to see this impact of his legacy.
Tibor loved the outdoors and especially gardening. It was a source of pride to feed people with the fruits (and veggies) of his labor. Anyone who knew Tibor enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor; he had a joke for every situation or topic. We will carry his laughter and many stories with us.
Tibor is survived by his wife, Stephanie Denise Nagy (married June 6, 1998); children, Kathryn Elizabeth Nagy and Sarah Lynn Nagy; sister, Mrs. Adam Nagy Gyorgyi and niece, Zsofia Adam.
