Taking Down Pancreatic Cancer presented by: Hazen High School Wrestling
On Saturday January 20, 2023- Hazen Wrestling will be hosting the 10th annual “Taking Down Pancreatic Cancer” wrestling tournament. This year will be done in an 8 team dual team format and will feature some of Washington’s best programs.
The teams attending include:
Hazen
Decatur
Federal Way
Ferndale
Kentlake
Liberty
Silas
Skyline
The tournament will be run in 4 rounds. 3 rounds of preliminary rounds will be wrestled to determine which teams will wrestle in the championship round. Only one team will take home the team title!
Several fundraisers will be ran alongside the wrestling tournament. There will be a concessions, and a 50/50 raffle. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (Puget Sound Affiliate) will be present and will have an information booth setup.
All of this will be done to raise awareness and money for pancreatic cancer which has quietly become the 3rd leading cause of cancer death in the U.S.
Doors will open to the public at 8 AM, opening ceremony will precede wrestling which will begin at 9 AM. Entry will be by donation- ALL proceeds generated through the fundraising activities will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network!
