This cause is near and dear to my heart, as I lost an influential individual, my step-father, in 2010 after battling for 8 months. After loosing my stepfather to this horrific disease I made a commitment to advocate and raise funding to further advancing pancreatic cancer research.
After the loss of my stepfather, little did I know that I would meet so many others impacted by pancreatic cancer, and loose others to this disease including my neighbor and a close family friend.
