Friends and family,
This year I'm running my very first NYC Marathon--in fact my first marathon ever.
As the many months of my training begins, I'll also dedicate energy toward raising money toward the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. I do this specifically in memory of my mother, Teresa, whose fierce perseverance in her fight with her pancreatic cancer continues to inspire day in and day out. I will carry her spirit with me every step, every mile, for the next five months, and I know she will be there with me as I cross the finish line on November 5.
The support of family and friends buoyed my family through the storm of losing our mother. I look to all the wonderful people in our circles to once again throw their support behind me and make any level of donation to help me achieve my goal and more importantly provide support, resources, and most of all, hope, to anyone affected by and battling with this vicious disease. Every dollar helps.
