In honor of the most generous, loving person in the world, let's take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer.
One of the perfect examples of Brian's inherent generosity was how he treated service employees with whom he interacted. He routinely tipped 100%, even on large purchases. Sometimes, if we were still in the vicinity when the server or delivery staff saw the tip, they would ring the bell or try to make a big deal over Brian, but that was just embarrassing to him. He didn't do it for recognition. He did it as a thank you.
Tipping is a uniquely American phenomenon that is problematic at best. Still, it's the system we have and Brian worked within it to make sure the people who helped him were helped in turn.
For this fundraiser, make BIG tips in his honor to PanCan and help this organization that helped him so much during his 9-week battle with pancreatic cancer.
