My name is Antonio (Tony) Busa and I'm running the NYC marathon on behalf of PanCAN. I lost both of my grandmothers to pancreatic cancer, most recently my grandma Kate (pictured with me on her 90th birthday).
The more I learn about this horrible disease the more people I hear are affected. More than 66,000 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2024. The pain these individuals and families endure is immeasurable.
I am proud to be doing one of the hardest things in my life by running my first marathon. The strength to do so seems insignificant against fighters of this disease. My focus is on raising awareness, taking each day as a gift to prepare myself for race day, and gaining your support.
Please use this link as a gateway to getting informed. PanCAN helps patients and families receive essential services, resources, information, and support when they are urgently seeking help and hope.
I am so grateful for your generous support!
All of my love!!
