My mom passed away from Pancreatic Cancer 16 years ago. There is still no cure. I raised money for PanCAN when I ran the NYC marathon 2 years ago and I am super excited to be a mentor and runner for PanCAN at the 2024 Marine Corps Marathon. My mom was at the NYC marathon cheering me on when I ran my first NYC marathon almost 22 years ago when she was a Bubbe to my 1 and 2 yr old kids and I ran the NYC marathon in her honor for PanCAN 2 years ago as a Lola(Bubbe) with a 1 yr old grandson. I am honored and grateful to be running this marathon again in her honor!
