It’s so hard for us to think that it is over four years since Vicki died of pancreatic cancer. As many of you know, she rose to the challenge in the only way she knew, with that enormous energy and belief that she could beat this awful disease. Sadly, that was not the case, and six short months after that diagnosis, pancreatic cancer took one of the kindest, loveliest and strongest people we have ever had the pleasure to call our friend.
In honor of Vicki and all those who are fighting or have lost their lives to this ugly disease, Charlene will be participating in Badwater135 (July 22- 24) in Lone Pine, California. Janet will be supporting as one of the crew members through Death Valley. Vicki was a crew member for Melanie Owen in 2018.
Badwater135: Globally recognized as the world’s toughest foot race, the Badwater 135 Ultramarathon is a pure athletic challenge of athlete, shoes, and support crew versus a brutal 135-mile / 217km stretch of highway and a forty-eight hour time limit. From the start line in Death Valley to the finish line high on Mt. Whitney in Lone Pine, CA.
We are supporting PanCAN’s vision to create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive. We still have a very long way to go.
Every dollar you give funds life-changing programs and services for patients and their families. Because of you, patients and families receive essential services, resources, information, and support when they are urgently seeking help and hope.
We are profoundly grateful for any donation you can give in memory of Vicki.
Thank you so very much, Janet & Charlene
