Over 60,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. In 2018, less than a month after retiring from the Port Authority Police Department our father, Michael Teel, was diagnosed. His passing in March 2019 was the result of pancreatic cancer he developed following his assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site after the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
