I am raising funds in honor of my Mom, Donna Vlasak-Lidsky, with the goal of improving the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer.
Donna passed away on May 13, 2023 from pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 25, 1949 (age 74) in Binghamton, NY and is survived by her husband Mike Lidsky, son Jon Mark, daughter Jill Maree (that's me!), and sister Jean.
She attended Cornell University, majoring in design and environmental analysis and the University of Michigan, receiving a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning. She retired as a Senior Program Officer for the Transportation Research Board in December of 2015.
She and Mike moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2019 after having lived in Silver Spring, MD for 34 years where they raised their family. She loved celebrating family birthdays and holidays, and taking walks with the family’s black Labrador, Vinnie.
Donna is remembered for her “100-watt smile,” great sense of humor, and her unwavering love and support for her family and friends.
