In 2016, we lost my mother, Cheryl Olson, to pancreatic cancer—one of the most aggressive and devastating forms of cancer, with far too few treatment options.
In the years leading up to her diagnosis, she was rediscovering her love for fitness. When she told me she had completed a half marathon, I was in awe. I couldn’t believe it was possible, and I always admired her dedication, perseverance, and the way she pushed herself to accomplish her goals.
As a tribute to her, I will be running the Los Angeles Marathon on March 16th as part of Team PanCan to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research. Every dollar brings us closer to better treatments, earlier detection, and—one day—a cure.
If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to me and to so many families affected by this disease. Thank you for your support in honoring my mom’s legacy and in fighting for a future with more survivors.
