2025 fundraising campaign begins with a 106-mile bicycle ride from Portland/Sauvie Island to Astoria, Oregon, Reach the Beach on May 17th. I am also enrolled in the Pioneer Century ride (June 7th, Linda's birthday), 101-mile event, starting and ending in Canby, Oregon. This year, Reach the Beach means more to me, this is a fundraising event for the Lung Association. My sister, Karine, passed away last year from Lung Cancer, not to mention by brother recovered from lung cancer and is in remission.

I do these events to bring awareness of this terrible disease, Pancreatic Cancer. Much has improved throughout the years; the five-year survival rate has almost doubled since I began over 13 years ago. Please donate today!

I want to thank everyone that has contributed throughout the years, especially the regular contributors, giving year after year. No donation is too small; the money goes to a very worthy cause.

My Story

I began fundraising for PANCAN in 2011, 13 years ago, in honor of my sister Linda who died from pancreatic cancer. I began with fundraising for PANCAN and centered around endurance events. In 2011, Portland Half Marathon, my first ever running event. Then each year I would do a fundraising event, Portland Marathons, Portland Half Marathons, Pacific Crest Endurance Duathlon. I’ve done other events, half marathons, duathlons and century bike rides. Then Covid came and public events were shut down, so I started my own solo events. My first solo event was to ride from my house in Gresham, Oregon to my Aunt Karen’s in Sutherlin, Oregon, approx. 180 miles. My Aunt Karen passed from pancreatic cancer just before my event. I’ve also done other bicycle events, Gresham-Bend, Bend-Gresham (300 miles), Gresham-Goldendale, Goldendale-Gresham (250 miles) and recently Astoria to Brookings, Oregon (340 miles). Throughout the years, there have been others that I also keep in my thoughts; three friend/coworkers have passed from pancreatic cancer, Navin, Judy and Ken. Please donate today!

With your support, I’m taking bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer.

Every dollar you give funds life-changing programs and services for patients and their families. Because of you, patients and families receive essential services, resources, information, and support when they are urgently seeking help and hope. They need you now more than ever.

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and help PanCAN create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.

Patients and families need us now more than ever.

I am grateful for your generous support.
