On March 15th, 2026, I’ll be running the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in honor of my incredible mom, Fran Krackow, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the Summer of 2024. Since that day, she has endured chemo, urgery, and more chemo—facing every step with courage and determination and defied all the odds she has been up against. Standing by her side through every appointment, hospital stay, treatment, and recovery has been my dad, Bob, whose unwavering support and strength have been essential to her fight.
Her diagnosis came just days after my wife, Dani, began her own battle with breast cancer, reminding me yet again that I come from a family of fighters who are resilient when facing challenges. With everything my family has confronted this past year, their bravery and strength inspires me every day. If they can face these challenges head-on, I can certainly accomplish this goal of running a half marathon.
I’m running to honor their strength, to support everyone affected by pancreatic cancer, and to help fuel PanCAN’s mission to improve outcomes and bring hope to families like mine.
Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to me and to those I love!
With Love,
Lee
