In addition to being a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, godmother, friend, cousin, aunt, and confidant to many, my mom was a dedicated jogger. One of her proudest moments was finishing the NYC marathon in 1986, an accomplishment I always admired. Growing up, we ran laps around our neighborhood together or participated in local races with my dad. I inherited her love of being active and challenging our bodies to do amazing things.
We lost my mom in 2020 to pancreatic cancer. During her treatment I trained for my first marathon, and it meant the world that she was able to see me complete that race. I believe the healing power of running helped me stay positive and focused on being there for her during that difficult time. Now it helps me reconnect with her memory.
My family and I are so grateful for your generous support throughout the years. Thank you!
