I’m raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in Wage Hope My Way.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancers out there today and 95% of people that get pancreatic cancer succumb to it. Let's work together to bring that number down and help build hope for those that get it in the future.
My grandfather, Alvin "Pete" Carpenter, recently passed from a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Pete taught me many things but most importantly, he taught me how to live life with an unrelenting passion and with hard work and goals you can achieve dreams you may have first thought were not possible. Pete embodied the American Dream and this is a mere example to show that dream is not dead.
To that end, I am competing in the Chattanooga Ironman 70.3, May 23rd 2021 to raise money and awareness towards pancreatic cancer to help give those that get it a fighting chance. By making a donation to this cause, you are supporting efforts to double survival for this deadly disease.
I humbly request that you please join me in these efforts and together we can do our part instilling hope for the battles to come.
I listed $7,500 as the goal but have a stretch goal of $15,000 - please help us get there!
