My book, Walnut Grove Hits Home: Prairie Values for the Modern Family was written to honor the life and work of actor, producer, and director Michael Landon. It focuses on the uplifting messages and positive family values gifted to the world by his iconic TV series, Little House on the Prairie. A collection of episode segments and memories shared by members of the cast, this book connects our country's past with its present by exemplifying that friendship, love, commmunity, forgiveness, and faith live on from century to century.
Michael Landon lost his life to pancreatic cancer 30 years ago, at the age of 54. My dear, personal friend and colleague, Robin Smith, was also taken too soon by this disease. I’m raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in Wage Hope My Way. By making a donation to me, you are helping to accelerate progress and improve patient outcomes. Thank you so very much for being here! xoxoxo Alicia
