Hi! I'm Melisa- and I am a home care nurse inspired by my work and my patients to do more for Pancreatic Cancer. It is a very difficult disease- and more can and will be done to help with early detection, prevention and screening, education, and treatment. Through several events during the month of November (Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month) I will be accepting donations that will go directly toward helping those affected by this cancer via the work of PanCAN.
I will be hosting holiday photo sessions in which families can visit me for a beautiful professional looking photo that could easily be used for their 2022 holiday card in exchange for a donation to PanCAN. I will be at the Spotted Cow Cafe in Rutland, MA on November 12 and 13! Photos will be delivered to families afterwards digitally via email along with some more important information about Pancreatic Cancer and PanCAN. I will also be challenging myself physically and will be running a 5k several times throughout the month in honor of many of my patients who have lost their battle to this cancer. And just to top it off (because clearly I need more) I will also challenge myself to complete the Pedal for PanCAN in which I will cycle 150 miles during the month of November.
