My dad & bro watching the start of the NYC marathon from the top of the Verrazano Bridge (early 90s)
On November 6, I'll be running the NYC Marathon. With your support, I'll be making this a celebration of my dad.
Watching my dad's 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer gave me a life-changing view of his strength. Training for a marathon is hard. Running it will be harder. But 26.2 miles has nothing on my dad. I'm hoping to channel some of his strength (and let's be honest, stubbornness) along the route (right past his childhood home!).
In my dad's honor, I'm using this marathon as a chance to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, which provides truly essential services for patients and their families. I am grateful for any support.
