CATHERINE'S STORY:
Mid July, the summer of 2020 and the peak of covid, my father fell off his bike. In the moment my family brushed it off as him being clumsy and went on with their days. Later that night my dad starting showing signs of a stroke and was brought to the hospital, they then life flighted him to Boston General where they took further tests to establish what exactly happened. After thorough examination they diagnosed him with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which had spread throughout his body. After weeks in the hospital he decided to go through with chemotherapy and stroke rehabilitation at home. With weekly hopital trips my dad grew weaker and weaker as the cancer started eating away at him. He hated hospitals and decided to enter hospice and spend his remaining days at home with his family. My father passed away September 22nd 2020 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

My father displayed several warning signs of pancreatic cancer prior to his diagnosis. My goal is to spread awareness of warning signs and how deadly this cancer actually is, in order to hopefully save someone else's life later down the road.

With your support, I’m taking bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer.

Every dollar you give funds life-changing programs and services for patients and their families. Because of you, patients and families receive essential services, resources, information, and support when they are urgently seeking help and hope. They need you now more than ever.

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and help PanCAN create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.

Patients and families need us now more than ever.

I am grateful for your generous support.
