Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!
As many of you know, I lost my father in February of 2022. At the time of his death, he was a 12-year pancreatic cancer survivor. When he was diagnosed in 2010, the 5-year survival rate was just 5%. My dad beat the odds, and as a result, we were blessed with 12 more years with him. However, most people are not so lucky. Since my dad was diagnosed, the 5-year survival rate has more than doubled and is now 13%. Unfortunately, recent cancer statistics for 2024 failed to show an improvement and the survival rate remains at 13%. With recent federal budget cuts to critical cancer research funds, your help is needed now more than ever!
We’re going to help make progress, with your support.
Our team, Remembering Renald, is participating in PanCAN’s annual PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26th in Boca Raton, Florida. PanCAN is a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. My family became involved with PanCAN in 2011, shortly after my dad's diagnosis. My committed to this organization and this cause has only grown, as I have continued to watch my family and friends directly affected by a devastating cancer diagnosis.
Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives.
Please join our team as a participant, or make a gift of any size to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives. You can donate to a team member or make a general donation to the team.
Patients and families need us now more than ever.
It is free to join our team but if you make a $50.00 or more donation, you will receive a t-shirt.
Please join me in this fight to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Thank you for your support.
