Join me to participate in the 2025 PanCAN PurpleStride event on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Far too many families are touched by pancreatic cancer, which has only in recent years begun to see survival rates above the single digits. Countless other families have experienced the effects of cancer diagnoses on the lives of loved ones.

In the Summer of 2018, I unfortunately learned of pancreatic cancer when my dad received the diagnosis. My dad courageously fought against pancreatic cancer through surgery, chemotherapy, and other challenges for about 18 months, all while continuing to do the things he loved including officiating high school basketball, community theater, traveling and mostly spending time with family and friends.

In June 2019 my dad created the Magdaleno’s Mighty Minions team and first participated in the PanCAN PurpleStride event. I was not able to join that year but brought back the team last year in honor of my dad and others who have received diagnoses, continue to fight, or lost their battles against this cancer and their loved ones.  

Join the Magdaleno’s Mighty Minions team in supporting PanCAN, an organization that advocates and supports those individuals facing pancreatic cancer, their families and research toward a better future. 

It’s a bit last minute; However, I would love your support to walk (registration is free!), donate, or share positive thoughts and stories!! Please know any size donation is greatly appreciated and you are welcome to just participate in the walk as well. :)
