Susan Lincoln (Lynn) Rodiles
This is to honor my beautiful Mom, Susan, who courageously fought pancreatic cancer for 2 years. If available, I know my Mom would love for anyone to participate in your city to join the walk on Saturday, 4/26!
Susan Lynn Rodiles, born August 21, 1961, raised in Menlo Park, California. Susan’s childhood was full of adventure—Girl Scouts, piano lessons, Sunday school, and swimming. She especially loved summers at North Lake Tahoe and winters skiing at Alpine Meadows with her family.
Susan fought pancreatic cancer with unimaginable courage, strength, and grace. For two years, she met each day with unwavering determination, inspiring everyone around her. She completed the Whipple surgery, radiation, and 4 types of chemo every single day for 2 years. Her bravery in the face of such a challenge was nothing short of heroic.
Susan was the life of the party—full of laughter, energy, and a magnetic spark that drew people in wherever she went. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, and her joy for life was absolutely contagious. Whether she was dancing barefoot on the beach, or planning her next adventure, Susan brought fun and spontaneity to every moment. She was fearless when it came to trying new things, from skiing the Dolomites to diving into Cabo’s vibrant culture. Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds, and being around her simply made you feel special and seen.
She was a radiant soul—beautiful inside and out, with a quick wit, warm heart, and contagious spirit. She believed deeply in the good in people, and in living each day fully. She was a true one of a kind angel and her presence lit up every room.
A graduate of Woodside High School and the University of Arizona, Susan studied interior design and was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi. Her adventurous spirit led her to a career as a flight attendant with America West Airlines, where she made lifelong friends and traveled the world. Later, she found her true calling as a real estate agent, combining her love for design and her gift for connecting with people.
Susan’s life blossomed when she met her soulmate, Jose. Together, they created a beautiful life between Phoenix and Cabo San Lucas, filled with travel, laughter, dancing, and love. They built a blended family with Susan’s children, Cameron and Brittany, and Jose’s daughter, Gabriela—a bond that brought Susan immense joy.
She is so deeply and profoundly missed. Susan’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on in all who had the blessing of knowing her.
She reminds us still—every day is special.
