Hi Folks! The walk is right around the corner - here are some additional details. Thank you to everyone who has donated and/or committed to walking! I know it is a busy time so appreciate you!!

If you donated and got a shirt, great! If you want to wear a purple shirt, great! If you don't want to or don't have one, please wear a bright color shirt - I will have some accessories for our walkers to match up! : )

For the walk day, I will get there around 8:30 and will be at the starting point on the map. My cell is 563-370-6933 if you have troubles finding me. And, text me if you have any questions!

Hi Folks!

Thank you for coming out to support my pancreatic cancer walk team!

04/26/25 is my 40th birthday and I thought a Saturday of spending time outside in the sunshine with friends and family to raise money for a good cause was a great way to ring in that milestone birthday. 

I lost my aunt Carolyn to pancreatic cancer in June 2020, my aunt Jackie to it in April 2021 and my boss, Kathy, to it in May 2021. Pancreatic cancer has taken out too many good women in my life and I am so glad to get to celebrate them with you all today! 

You are welcome at the walk, the post-walk celebration, both or neither (as I know it is a very busy time for everyone) – you are getting the invite because you are important to me and these ladies were important to you, so please participate as you are able!

Details on fundraising:

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more. Any amount of donations are appreciated but they are not required to come out and join in on the walk. Want to help in a bigger way? Join me by registering for PurpleStride! Register for free, raise $50 and you’ll receive an official PanCAN PurpleStride 2025 T-shirt!
