Welcome to our PurpleStride team fundraising page, Always Frank’s Supporters! We walked April 26, 2025 in our neighborhood.

Two days before his 52nd birthday in 2011 Frank was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He fought hard with support from our three beautiful daughters, other family members, friends, co-workers, and wonderful healthcare professionals. We got him through treatments, and he was able to be with us for graduations and the very best Smuggs vacation that summer. After 14½ months of fighting that cancer on January 6, 2013 he left us for a special place in heaven.

Since then two of our daughters have gotten married, and we have four beautiful grandchildren. So, walk with us. If you cannot, please make a donation and help us reach our fundraising goal!  Frank is relying on us now to help to learn more about this disease so that a cure can be found. Thank you.
