Welcome to My Personal Page

It’s time again to form a PurpleStride Silicon Team entitled “Stanford 19-9ers! I am excited to be Team Captain again. I really appreciate your support and attendance. I remain committed to the cause of enabling more survivors. I am happily past my 15th anniversary. Now 13% of those diagnosed survive, up from ~5% when I was diagnosed, but survivability will be MUCH better when the Early Detection Initiative is successful).

There has been progress … 5-year survival is up to 13%, but clearly there is lots of room for improvement. Here is a nice summary of research advances in 2023, in part because of your valuable support.

I encourage you to continue your support to improve pancreatic cancer survivability.

Likely PurpleStride Silicon Valley will continue the new venue this year, Lake Cunningham Park in the Almaden district of San Jose on Saturday 26, April 2025.

Let’s work together to support the efforts to save more survivors!
