My mother DONNA R. TAYLOR was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in January 2017  and she passed away on May 21, 2017.  

Pancreatic Cancer was the cause of my mother's death and the deaths of 2 of my friends and the mothers of 3 of my friends. My first cousin succumbed to this disease at the age of 46.  

The five year pancreatic cancer survival rate is 13% an increase of seven percentage points over the last decade-PanCAN’s efforts are working.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
