Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

My father's shannon kelso was a kind hearted, funny, fun, and loving man. Shannon loved to race and clean his charger, along with spending money on it to make it faster. He took pride in his kids and grandkids. Shannon was a family man, to him nothing was more important then family, and you didn't have to be related to be family. Shannon was also a chief engineer for acbl before he past. On October 24th he got off the boat with what he thought was gall bladder pain. He was sent to memphis hospital as it was the closest one that is when they told him he had cirrhosis of the liver, which to us was weird because he didn't drink heavy. They discharged him and his company brought him home. He made an appointment at sikeston clinic were there they said he did not have a failing liver but was sure his gall bladder needed to be removed. After finally letting me take him to the er is when we were told he had a mass and they drained fluid out of his abdominal area. By November 22ndish he was admitted due to high calcium. That's when we were told he had a week to 3 max. The fluid they drained spread this aggressive stage 4 throughout his body. The oncology doctor told us in his 30 years it was the most aggressive fast spreading pancreatic cancer he has seen. After having to fight st. Francis to let him come home they finally aloud it. On Dec 1st my father came home to be around family no more needles or being bothered through out the night he could rest. We watched all his favorite funny movies, then on December 2nd of 2024 he left this world to move on to the next. Before he left us some of his last words to his car friends was he asked if we could do a memorial race for him. His car family of course came thru and we held a fundraiser for pancreatic cancer on April 12th. I will be delivering the check in person at purple stride. We have raised 6409 dollars so far. Anyone else like to contribute feel free to on here. The pain I endured at 25 years old watching my dad die is something that will stick for a long time and no one deserves to have to feel the pain of it. So thank you for donating to help end such a painful disease.
