Thanks for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser in honor of my mother and best friend, Jane Fitts!!

I've decided to walk in honor of my mother and bestfriend Jane Fitts who lost her very short battle with pancreatic cancer in February 2025. My mother was my best friend, we talked every day either by phone, by text or in person. She was an amazing grandmother and would do anything for her 3 grandkids. She was a loving wife of 42 years a sister, a daughter and an aunt. I'm walking to raise as much money as possible so that myself and my kids can someday be able to know what the signs are and more research can be done so that we can end pancreatic cancer and have funding for treatment so other families dont have to experience the pain of loosing a loved one.

PurpleStride is an inspiring event for anyone who has been affected by pancreatic cancer and wants to ensure vital research continues and free resources are made available to all who need them.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
