Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

In April 2024, my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I stayed hopeful despite statistics and the reactions I?d hear when I talked to someone. Initially treatment was going well, but unfortunately it was too brutal for my Dad. He passed away on December 14, 2024. As a natural problem solver, being unable to do anything and watch my Dad suffer was the hardest situation I?ve had to experience.


Alongside grief I have felt so much anger at the statistics of this cancer. The survival rate for someone in advanced stages like my Dad is less than 5%. It?s among the deadliest cancers. Despite all of this, we?ve seen federal funding cuts for cancer research. It?s one of the most underfunded forms of cancer despite its dismal survival rates.

I am also raising funds in memory of Pamela Henry Hahn and Michelle Murawski who also lost their lives to pancreatic cancer. 


Please help me increase awareness and funding for pancreatic cancer to someday prevent the suffering and death of someone else?s parent, spouse, brother, uncle, friend.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
