JOIN ME IN THE FIGHT AGAINST PANCREATIC CANCER

I AM A 17-YEAR PANCREATIC CANCER SURVIVOR! 

And PurpleStride is the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

That's why I'm taking steps with ANN'S DREAM TEAM to raise funds to support Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) by participating in PURPLESTRIDE on April 25.

I'm walking to honor the memory of my mother Ann, my grandmother Ida, and to celebrate my survival. And I hope and pray for my first cousin Robert.

Robert learned he had a tumor at the head of his pancreas in 2022. His surgery was successful, and after finishing chemo he had a long remission in 2023-2024. Unfortunately, Robert’s cancer returned at the end of 2024, but after having proton therapy and starting a new round of chemo in 2025, he celebrated his 4th New Year since his diagnosis, in 2026, and is looking forward to another recovery.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
