Please join us for PurpleStride Kansas City on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

On April 26, 2025, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will take steps together at nearly 60 PurpleStride events across the nation to honor everyone affected by the disease. It's an inspirational day to celebrate survivors, honor those we lost and turn the nation purple!​

Team Jan King is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in the 2025 PurpleStrideKC in memory of my Aunt Jan. My Aunt Jan was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004 and died from this brutal disease after a 15-month battle.

Unfortunately the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer remains at 13%, the same as last year. A decade ago, the five-year survival rate was only 6%. It's amazing progress more than doubling the 5-year survival rate but 13% percent is just not enough.
