20 years and counting...

I'm walking in PurpleStride 2025 (my 17th year!) to raise money to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  

I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer in May 2006, just nine months after his diagnosis (and I still miss him every day). Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers - just 9% of those diagnosed survive five years.  The 20th anniversary of his loss will be just a couple weeks after this event, making it especially poignant.  

PanCAN was a huge help when Daddy was sick, and continues to provide amazing resources.  Your donation to support research, advocacy, and resources for patients and their families will be very much appreciated.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
