Welcome to My Personal Page

We lost our dad to pancreatic cancer on August 17,1995. I was 13, Greg was 11 and Val was 5. We have been participating in PurpleStride since 2012 and our team will be walking in memory of our dad. Valentin Hernandez.

We continue this fight for our dad, friends and family that we have met along this journey.  We fight to make a difference.

By participating in PurpleStride  you will help continue the efforts that PanCan is doing. YOU help continue to raise the survival rate above 13% Now it is time to find a CURE, create more EARLY DETECTION, so we can BEAT this disease.

We thank you all for your continued support. Let's Flip the Bird to Pancreatic Cancer

Love the Hernandez Kids -Michelle, Greg and Val

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
