The PurpleStride 2026 walk is Saturday, April 25, 2026. Please help my family support this great cause.

As most of you know, I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer in 2013.  I'm not sure if you could hear or even feel the deep sigh that comes with typing that.  It's been far to long without this amazing lady in our lives.  There is not a minute that goes by that I don't miss and think about her. I walk in hopes that one day there will be a process for early detection and a cure so that others don't have to feel the loss that we have.

Since we lost my momma, I have had so many friends who have been impacted by this awful disease.  We need to push harder and be louder.  This disease doesn't have to be a death sentence.  We need to expect more.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
