Team DeGregory is Fighting Back against Pancreatic Cancer

On August 27, 2012 I lost my husband, Chris, to Pancreatic Cancer.  A disease neither of us had ever heard of.

While fighting this devastating cancer, he was told there were no answers, no hope.  For the past 13 years I have been dedicated to fighting back against this horrible disease.  

In 2012 the 5 year survival rate was 5%.  Which means that 95% of those diagnosed would succumb within 5 years.  

The survival rate today is 13%.  Thanks to you.  

That still means that 87% of those diagnosed today will not survive 5 years.  You can help.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
