Kerrie's Fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

For Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, I'm raising money for our PurpleStride 2026 team! This will be our 10th year participating!! 

In 2015, my mom, being healthy and having no risk factors, received the devastating diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. She fought an amazing battle with many rounds of chemo, radiation, Whipple surgery and clinical trials, but unfortunately passed away in September 2021. Since 2015, the 5 year survival rate has increased, but it's still just at 13%. I'm striding to raise money to find a cure for this horrible disease and to help support others who face this same diagnosis. 

I'm raising money for the PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network) Purple Stride 5k in Indianapolis. The event takes place on April 25, 2026, and I would love for you to donate and/or join out team! PanCAN raises money to fund research, support for families and to spread awareness! 

I personally would love to see more and more research be done on this cause! I truly appreciate everyone's support :)

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
