Welcome to My Personal Page

My name is Bonnie, and my battle with pancreatic cancer started back in 2013 when my "honorary" little sister, Alyson Goodwin, was diagnosed.

She was 49 years old, and  after six months of trying to figure out what was wrong, she noticed she was jaundiced. She drove to the ER and they found a "mass on her pancreas." She immediately jumped into action mode to fight it and went through 31 months of chemo and a clinical trial, always determined to help others even if she didn't find the "magic bullet" for herself.

Alyson became a beacon of hope and support for other survivors, sharing tips on new discoveries she learned. She taught us how to support each other. That's why our team is called "Alyson's Legacy."

In the past decade, we've doubled the survival rate! In 2013, it was just 6%, and now it's 13%, but we still have a long way to go. The number of new pancreatic cancer cases is rising, and it's now the 3rd deadliest cancer. Our researchers are working hard to find a detection tool to diagnose it earlier, which would change everything!

So today, I'm asking for a donation, even if it's just $5. Whether your donations are big or small, they help save lives.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
