Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!

I’m going to help make progress, with your support.

I’m celebrating my 10 years as a pancreatic cancer survivor this spring 2025 and helping to raise funds for PanCAN’s PurpleStride Michigan, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

While the Michigan walk is taking place in Troy on Saturday April 26th, my team is going to do the Detroit River Walk beginning at 9:30am at the Milliken State Park, 1900 Atwater St, Detroit, Mi 48207 followed by brunch at The Dime Store.  I chose the "dime" store to eat because a dime is worth "10" cents ( 10 years ) lol.  We will have brunch around 11am at The Dime Store - 719 Griswold St. #180, Detroit, Mi 48226.  I hope you will join me in this personal celebration. I've chosen to do my own team walk in Detroit because I prefer this venue over the Troy venue.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
