7 years ago I was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer!  What a journey I've been on.  We learned i have the BRCA2 mutation, a mutation common to the ashkenazi community, which greatly increased my chance of developing pancreatic cancer.  Many in my family have since tested positive, putting them at an increased risk for pancreatic cancer and other cancers.  Surgery, chemo, trials, and today I am living life.  My continued success in this fight is due to the new treatment options discovered during research!  We cannot do this alone.  We need your help!

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN’s biggest community event of the year, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
